How to make long envelope

This is a 12x12 piece of card stock
Cut to 9x12
Score at 2 1/2 inches and 6 1/2 inches
Cut down score lines 3 inches and across 2 1/2 inches on either side  leaving a 4inch flap in the middle.
Now measure 1/2 an inch down from the upper edge on both side panels

Now cut at an angle from 1/2 inch mark to cetral panel mark

Then the same process on the the other side.

Now fold score lines

Now stick centre with tape or glue, score and fold centre flap

I like this envelope because the flaps are a good size for covering and making pockets, you are now ready to cover and bind it together which ever way you choose.

Round off corner with punch

So you have a 4x9 envelope and a 4x3 flap
